MUDANÇAS NA INAE

O Governo anunciou a cessação de funções de Inspectora Geral de Maria Rita Freitas, a partir de 5 de Maio corrente. Durante o seu mandato (2016-2025), a Inspecção Nacional das Actividades Económicas foi muito interventiva na área da propriedade intelectual. Com efeito, Maria Rita Freitas incentivou a formação dos inspectores da INAE sobre a propriedade intelectual (ler aqui) no geral, mas sobretudo liderou várias acções destinadas ao combate a contrafacção, sendo que muitas culminaram com a apreensão e destruição dos produtos contrafeitos (leia aqui).

Vale lembrar que nos termos do Artigo 222 do Código da PI, “a averiguação das infracções contra os direitos de propriedade industrial compete à INAE em articulação com o Instituto da Propriedade Industrial”.

Esperamos que a nova direcção a ser nomeada mantenha ou melhore o nível de actuação da INAE para que o combate a contrafacção, e consequente respeito pelas marcas registadas e protegidas no país, seja cada vez mais eficaz.

A partir do dia 29 de Abril do corrente ano a Braz & Associados, Lda conta com mais uma Agente Oficial da Propriedade Industrial (AOPI). Trata-se de Igma Nhaca, investida nas funções naquela data.

Em Moçambique a profissão de Agente Oficial da Propriedade Industrial é regulada pelo Decreto nº 19/99, de 4 de Maio, que aprova o respectivo regulamento.

As of April 29th of this year, Braz & Associados, Lda has another Official Industrial Property Agent (AOPI). This is Igma Nhaca, who took office on that date.

In Mozambique, the profession of Official Industrial Property Agent is regulated by Decree No. 19/99, of May 4th, which approves the respective regulations.
